Our Green Journey

As a leader in the dental industry, we understand the nature of our business, our role in supply chain and the effect our products can have on the environment. Across Henry Schein Australia we are committed to streamlining our supply chain and embedding sustainability into our ways of working. By collaborating with our customers and partners through Practice Green we will positively impact the future of our planet.

In Australia, we have been impacted by Climate Change and its effect on our environment. With rising temperatures causing increased fire danger in the summer of 2019-20, we experienced the most catastrophic bushfire season followed by devastating floods in 2021-22, leaving a trail of destruction behind for communities.

Our aspiration is to be net zero by 2050


The initiatives below highlight commitment towards this goal

Water harvesting in Eastern Creek DC to be reused within amenities.

LED lighting installed in DC and Head office.

62% of all Eastern Creek DC waste diverted from landfill and recycled including soft plastics (up from 54% in 2021).

Cardboard compactor installed in Eastern Creek DC to reduce collections from daily to weekly.

Henry Schein size 1 and 3 white boxes upgraded to brown boxes and made from recycled materials.

Courier partner commitments
(15% reduction in emissions by 2025).

Signed up to the PrintReleaf Reforestation Program.

Customer statements now sent digitally.
